FaceEater is a joint production of Jon McClure, nationally recognized comic book collector and dealer, and a5, a brand communications firm based in Chicago.

McClure, longtime advisor to the Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide and an award-winning researcher of the esoteric, created FaceEater in 1983 and played the game with friends over a 20-year period using a homemade deck he personally illustrated.
